If you would like to have supplementary materials for your Bible study, Biblista.Net recommends "The Word Among Us". It is distributed in the Philippines by the Word of Joy Foundation, Inc.
"The Word Among Us" contains materials that anyone wishing to deepen one's prayer life would appreciate. It contains the following:
- articles geared towards deepening one's knowledge about an aspect of the Church's life
- meditations on the daily mass readings
- personal testimonies
- articles that explain the Scriptures
The contents of "The Word Among Us" are prepared by people who have been serving the Church in different capacities. Two of these are Fr. Wimmer, OSA, an exegete who also contributed to the development of the New American Bible and Fr. Herb Schneider, SJ, founding member of the Catholic Biblical Association of the Philippines.
Those working as lectors and commentators would appreciate the calendar of liturgical readings for the mass and the daily meditations for these readings.
