"Guide to the Lectio", a project I announced about five months ago is finished. You may now download it from AngFrayle. The plan was originally to compile lectio divina materials posted at Otium Sanctum in a *.chm file, more popular known as Windows help file. But though the help compiler is downloadable from Microsoft.com at no charge, there was no application available that was suited for the purpose I had in mind. It was only recently that I discovered an eBook compiler that allowed me to bring together my pages on the lectio divina.
The eBook "Guide to the Lectio" is in an executable program created in WindowsXP. I haven't tested it in other Windows operating systems. If you can't run it in your Windows system please tell me so that I can take appropriate measures.
The application is in a zipped archive (GuidetotheLectio.zip) so that the download size won't be large (just about 2.4 MB). You will need an unzipping utility to get at the program. If you don't have WinZip in your computer, I would recommend either one of these two free utilities:
- AlZip from AlTools.Net
- ZipGenius from ZipGenius.IT
Once you've downloaded the distribution package, unzip it into your hard drive. Two files will be extracted, "read.me.first.txt" and GuidetotheLectio.exe. Double-click on this latter and when the splash screen comes up, select "Open". Get it here!
"Guide to the Lectio" is in version 1. I am still rewriting some of my articles at Otium Sanctum for inclusion in a future update (about 4 months from now). I really hope that those who asked me for an easier way of downloading my articles would be happy with this application.
Once more, Merry Christmas to all!
